Outi Ahonen, PhD, MHSc, RN, is a principal lecturer in nursing at Laurea University of Applied Sciences’ Digital Unit. She earned her PhD in 2020, focusing on students' competencies in multiprofessional contexts within the Health and Human Services Informatics program at the University of Eastern Finland. Currently, she coordinates Laurea’s RDI work on digitalization and leads the MangiDITH project, which facilitates multiprofessional master’s education for eHealth and eWelfare Services. As the president of the Finnish eHealth and Telemedicine Society and a vice member of the Council of the Finnish Nursing Association, she chairs the team developing the eHealth Strategy for the Finnish Nursing Association (2021-2025). She will give keynotes on how technology is changing nursing practice.
