Emily Bell is a Registered Nurse and a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from University of Florida in 2005 and Yale University in 2008. Her graduate education and training focused on psychiatry and psychotherapy across the lifespan. She has worked across the continuum of mental healthcare services including inpatient, outpatient, day hospital programs, emergency department, mental health triage and Primary-Care Mental Health Integration. Since becoming a Psychiatric NP in 2009, her work has largely focused on providing psychiatry services to U.S. military active-duty Service Members, Veterans, and military dependents. She has a passion for Suicide Prevention, teaching the next generation of mental healthcare providers and legislative advocacy to attain Full Practice Authority for Advanced Practice Nurses. In the last year, Emily has transitioned into working as a Senior Policy Advisor at the American Nurses Association after 20 years of direct care.
