Professor Beate André is a registered nurse and mental health nurse. Professor André completed her PhD in Clinical medicine in 2010. The PhD-project focused on quality of care, quality of work environment, and implementation of pain measurement in palliative care. Nursing science and documentation is another main area of interest, for which professor André has experience from a large research project on the implementation of nursing diagnoses in hospitals. Nursing home care is also an area of expertise, which she has gained experience in from several research projects. Professor André has been published in numerous popular scientific publications related to all aspects of nursing. She has promoted several implementation studies in nursing practice, in both community health care and specialized health care.
