Dr Sung Rae Shin is the current president of the Korea Accreditation Board of Nursing Education (KABONE). Since its inception in 2004, KABONE has contributed to the development of high-quality nursing professionals by ensuring the quality of nursing education programs in Korea. Dr Shin served as ICN's third vice president from 2017 to 2021. Dr Shin also served as Vice Chair of the Executive Committee at the 2015 ICN Conference in Seoul. She also served as Chair of the KNA-ICN Leadership Center and is actively involved as an instructor in the LFC Program, which began in Korea in 2023. She is the Dean of the School of Nursing at Sahmyook University, Seoul, Korea, where she has taught adult nursing since 1997. She was an elected board member for the Korean Nursing Association (KNA), the Korean Society of Nursing Science (KSNS), and the Korean Society of Adult Nursing (KSAN).
