Jun-Ah Song is a professor at the Korea University College of Nursing in South Korea and teaches gerontological nursing. She received her Master's and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Michigan School of Nursing, Ann Arbor, MI, USA. Her area of research interest is in developing nursing interventions and educational programs for persons with dementia (PWDs) and their formal/informal caregivers, especially in the management of Behavioral and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD). She has served as President of the Korean Gerontological Nursing Society and as a Professional Advisory Committee Member of the National Institute for Dementia. She has been serving as a reviewer for several professional journals related to gerontology and geriatrics. She is also a member of the International Affairs Committee in the Korean Accreditation Board of Nursing Education and has been contributing to the development and revision of accreditation standards and criteria.
