Dame Francisca Okafor, RN, RM, BNSc, MPH, MSc (Mid), FWAPCNM, HCBTNF, is the Director of Nursing Services, Federal Ministry of Health, Abuja Nigeria (Government's Chief Nurse). 

Ms. Okafor is a Fellow of the West African College of Nursing; Alumnus of Global Nursing Leadership Institute of ICN, and also an inaugural Fellow of the Harvard Chan Burdett Trust Nursing Leadership Program; 2022/2023.

Francisca is a bridge between the experienced Nursing Elders and the Innovative Vibrant Nursing Youths, this synergy and her ability to tap into these divergent groups led to the successful launch of the Nursing Now Campaign in Nigeria in January 2020 and the actualization of the new entry point for Graduate Nurses which earned her an award of Grand Ambassador of Nightingalic Virtues, dubbed ‘Dame of Proper Placement’.

She is a passionate Nurse who desires to see the independence, liberation and autonomy of the Nursing Profession in Nigeria in her time.
