Filippo Gatti
Chief Nurse, International Committee of the Red Cross
Qualified as a Registered Nurse at the University of Milan (Italy) in 2003 then worked for seven years in the Paediatric ICU in Bergamo before joining Emergency, a Non-Governmental Organization founded in Italy to provide free surgical and medical assistance to the victims of war, landmines and poverty. He spent six years with Emergency NGO before joining the International Committee of the Red Cross where he has been for almost 11 years and he was appointed Chief Nurse there in 2021. He has completed Masters level studies in Tropical Medicine and International Health as well as Disaster Relief Healthcare and Nursing Management to support his knowledge, competences and skill development.
He has been working with the ICRC since 2013 undertaking a variety of roles while working effectively and supporting multidisciplinary colleagues and actively contributing to team goals. Always enthusiastic in promoting education and staff development he is a reliable and ethical healthcare provider.
