Dr Ali Drummond was born and raised on Weibene (Thursday Island or TI) in north Queensland, and his people are the Meriam and Erubam people of Zenadh Kes (Torres Straits), and the Wuthathi people of Cape York Peninsula.
Dr Drummond is a registered nurse, and his experience spans clinical practice, management, policy, academia, and research. He is currently the CEO of the Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives (CATSINaM).
